AP Pro32 comments about Patriots

NEW YORK (AP) Comments on the New England Patriots by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

Chris Berman (ESPN, 6) - 30 points at Baltimore a good sign, 500 yards allowed is not.

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 8) - Despite two tough losses and shaky secondary, don't bet against Tom Brady and Bill Belichick winning the AFC East.

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 7) - Comment currently unavailable

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 8) - 1-2 right now but could just as easily be 3-0 if not for a couple kicks.

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 7) - Bill Belichick furious that officials ruled Justin Tucker's game-deciding kick was good, but it doesn't change the result. Something we won't be saying about New England much longer: they're tied for last in the division.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 15) - Tom Brady has passed for 300-plus yards each of the last two weeks and the Patriots have lost both games.

Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 11) - Dont blame that 1-2 start on replacement refs. Josh McDaniels and the offense need to get their act together.

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 7) - That dazed look on Bill Belichick's face at the final gun priceless.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 7) - The Pats need to fix a few things like pass protection but two tough losses don't represent how good they still are in 2012.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 7) - Back to back losses for the Patriots, leading by 9 in the 4th Qtr. And loosing to the Ravens. Wow. The Patriots are a good football team and will respond.

Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 11) - One controversy ended last Sunday when wide receiver Wes Welker returned to prominence in the offense. Now taking his place in the media spotlight - A pass defense that sprung a leak during a 31-30 loss at Baltimore.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 9) - Are the Patriots starting to look a little old, or are the replacement refs looking really bad?
