AP Pro32 comments about Browns

NEW YORK (AP) Comments on the Cleveland Browns by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

Chris Berman (ESPN, 27) - Better.

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 28) - At least Brandon Weeden bounced back nicely, and Trent Richardson ran with force.

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 28) - Two losses by a total of 8 points.

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 31) - Encouraging play from Weeden and Richardson in Week 2 but still a ton of work to be done.

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 28) - Solace in a loss? If you're Brandon Weeden, yes. The rookie QB recovers from an abysmal performance in the opener against Philly with 322 yards and two TDs against the Bengals.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 30) - A huge step by rookie QB Brandon Weedon in Week 2 - 322 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a loss. Better things could be right around the corner for the Browns.

Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 32) - Over the last three seasons, the Browns changed coaches, changed quarterbacks, changed owners (OK, not officially) and still dropped 18 of 22. It's hard to win with this cast; it's harder still when everyone knows a massive housecleaning is waiting to take place.

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 28) - Trent Richardson's initial 100-yard game will be the first of many.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 27) - The Browns may be 0-2 but there is hope for this team with two great efforts. Three more weeks until Joe Haden gets back. Buffalo comes to town this week in a game the Browns could win.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 32) - The Browns got great efforts from Brandon Weeden and Trent Richardson but fell short against the Andy Dalton led Bengals.

Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 29) - The rookie duo of quarterback Brandon Weeden and running back Trent Richardson were far more productive against Cincinnati than in a Week 1 loss to Philadelphia. Unfortunately for the Browns, the exact opposite was the case for a defense now lacking suspended starting cornerback Joe Haden for three more games.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 32) - If Brandon Weeden and Trent Richardson can keep developing, all will not be lost for the Browns.
