AP Pro32 comments about Bills
NEW YORK (AP) Comments on the Buffalo Bills by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
Chris Berman (ESPN, 18) - Circled their first wagon.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 20) - This team can be pretty good when Ryan Fitzpatrick does not implode.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 22) - C.J. Spiller is leading the league in rushing.
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 22) - CJ Spiller averaging over 10 yards a carry for those keeping score at home.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 24) - Now that's what a multimillion dollar defense is supposed to look like. Bills rebound from sackless day against the Jets to pummel Matt Cassel with five sacks and force three turnovers in their home opener.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 23) - Two positive developments: 1) Ryan Fitzpatrick stopped screwing up and 2) the pass rush is back. Now, if the Bills can get Mario Williams untracked the crowd down at Duff's will be happy. In the meantime, the Bills may be on to something: Less is more when it comes to Fitzpatrick's passing.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 26) - It took awhile, but C.J. Spiller was worth the wait.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 24) - The pass rush came alive last week which changes everything. The Bills don't have to blitz to get to the QB. CJ Spiller looks like the most explosive back in the league right now. I see this team moving up next week.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 24) - Buffalo made a statement after a bad Week 1, soundly defeating the Chiefs.
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 24) - A 35-17 blowout of Kansas City proved the Bills aren't as bad as they looked in a horrific Week 1 loss to the Jets.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 27) - Are the Bills the team that was whitewashed by the Jets, or the team that whitewashed the Chiefs?
