Daily look at Manning in Broncos training camp

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) A look at Peyton Manning's day at Denver Broncos training camp:

PEYTON'S PLACE: The Broncos returned to practice Saturday following their preseason opener at Chicago, Manning's first game against a pass rush in 579 days.

HOW'D HE DO? Manning's day was mostly crisp but he did lack a little oomph on some of his passes to secondary reads along the sideline. Then again, he never really was known for throwing heaters before his nerve injury, either. He had a particularly pretty pass to Matt Willis but was intercepted on another throw.

TALKING MANNING: "If Peyton's going to throw it there, I've got to take advantage of it. It was good to get one today. I've been waiting on it and finally I got a chance to get it." - linebacker Wesley Woodyard, who had the first interception of a Manning pass at practice since the opening week of camp.
