Daily look at Tim Tebow in Jets training camp
CORTLAND, N.Y. (AP) A look at Tim Tebow's day at New York Jets training camp:
TEBOW TIME: Tebow took two snaps with the first-team offense, but otherwise worked with the second-team unit Wednesday in the Jets' last practice before the preseason opener at Cincinnati on Friday night.
HOW'D HE DO: Tebow had one of his best days in camp, throwing two long touchdown passes. He connected with Patrick Turner on a 60-yard pass in 11-on-11 drills with the first-team offense - against a defensive call similar to the one in which he beat the Jets on in Denver with a 20-yard go-ahead touchdown run. Tebow also lofted a nice pass to Jeff Cumberland for a 50-yard score in 7-on-7 drills.
TEBOWMANIA: The fans were back at practice, and the loudest chants came from three of the smallest in the crowd. Two little girls and a boy chanted "Tee-boww! Tee-boww!" almost non-stop for the 2 1/2-hour practice. One annoyed fan tried to drown them out with a "San-chezz!" chant - to no avail.
TALKING TEBOW: "That time, he threw it. You can live with a guy throwing it. You can't live with a guy running it in there." - a smiling Jets coach Rex Ryan on Tebow tossing a TD pass - instead of rushing for a score as he did last season with the Broncos.
