Daily look at Manning in Broncos training camp
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) A look at Peyton Manning's day at Denver Broncos training camp:
PEYTON'S PLACE: Manning and the Broncos returned to the field Monday afternoon after a day away from football following their Saturday night stadium scrimmage.
HOW'D HE DO?: As usual, Manning was money during 11-on-11 drills and very effective in the red-zone work despite some overthrows. With Demaryius Thomas slowed by a sore Achilles tendon, Jason Hill stepped up to make several nice catches, including a toe-dance touchdown grab over star cornerback Champ Bailey.
TALKING MANNING: "I'm ready for the preseason." - Manning, who will face an opponent for the first time in 18 months on Thursday night when the Broncos open their exhibition slate at Chicago.
