Cardinals draft San Diego St. QB in sixth round
TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) The Arizona Cardinals turned to the quarterback position with the second of their two sixth-round draft picks Saturday, choosing Ryan Lindley of San Diego State.
Lindley started a school record 49 consecutive games with the Aztecs, establishing several school passing and total yardage records. He has a strong arm but has had issues with his accuracy. He says he has worked hard in the offseason to improve his footwork.
He joins a team that has three quarterbacks already under contract - Kevin Kolb, John Skelton and Rich Bartel.
Arizona chose defensive back Justin Bethel of Presbyterian with the first of its two sixth-round selections.
