Coach Leslie Frazier announced on Wednesday that the fourth-year cornerback came into his office last week and told Frazier of his decision. Frazier says he was surprised, but did not get into the specifics of their discussion. Analysis: Allen started nine games and appeared in 12 last year, but missed some time due to a concussion and a shoulder injury. Frazier says the decision was not related to injuries. Allen was a third-round draft pick out of Georgia in 2009. He started 11 games in 2010, but struggled last season as part of the Vikings' banged-up secondary. He had four interceptions in his career. |
