Analysis: Carolina traded Otah to the New York Jets last week, but the deal was rescinded after Otah failed his physical. He reverted back to the Panthers' roster. It's still unclear what Carolina will do with him. Hurney and coach Ron Rivera met with Otah for about 45 minutes in Spartanburg before he was sent back to Charlotte for another physical and conditioning tests. Hurney said the test will continue Thursday morning.

Analysis: Otah was acquired by the Jets last Monday, but failed his physical and was placed on the active-physically unable to perform list. He had seven days - until Tuesday - to pass. Analysis: The Jets say Wednesday that the trade is contingent on Otah, sidelined most of the last two seasons by a nagging knee injury, passing his physical in the next seven days. New York traded an undisclosed conditional draft pick to Carolina on Monday for the former first-rounder. The 26-year-old Otah played in only four games last season, then went on injured reserve on Oct. 19 with a left knee injury. He has missed 31 of his last 35 games.
