|Jan. 23 10:29 AM PT11:29 AM MT12:29 PM CT1:29 PM ET18:29 GMT2:29 AM 北京时间11:29 AM MST1:29 PM EST12:29 PM CT22:29 UAE13:29 ET16:29 - Peterson had groin surgery Thursday and is expected to spend the next six weeks recovering. The Vikings said the operation went as planned, in Philadelphia by Dr. William Meyers.
Analysis: Peterson rushed for 1,266 yards in 14 games, missing two in December due to a sprained right foot. The groin muscle had been bothering him for much of the season. This was Peterson's third, though least invasive, surgery in the last 25 months. He had anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligament reconstruction in his left knee in December 2011. Then, after rushing for 2,097 yards and winning the NFL MVP award, Peterson had a procedure done in February 2013 to repair a sports hernia in his abdomen. Meyers performed that surgery, too.
|Dec. 27 11:48 AM PT12:48 PM MT1:48 PM CT2:48 PM ET19:48 GMT3:48 AM 北京时间12:48 PM MST2:48 PM EST1:48 PM CT23:48 UAE14:48 ET17:48 - The Minnesota Vikings have ruled out running back Adrian Peterson for their final game of the season.
Analysis: Peterson sprained his right foot Dec. 8 at Baltimore and sat out the following week against Philadelphia. He played last Sunday at Cincinnati but was mostly ineffective. Peterson acknowledged afterward the injury affected his performance. He has also been bothered this year by a sore groin.
|Dec. 22 8:11 AM PT9:11 AM MT10:11 AM CT11:11 AM ET16:11 GMT12:11 AM 北京时间9:11 AM MST11:11 AM EST10:11 AM CT20:11 UAE11:11 ET14:11 - Peterson is back after missing one game with a foot injury.
Analysis: Peterson was limited in practice during the week.
|Dec. 19 1:03 PM PT2:03 PM MT3:03 PM CT4:03 PM ET21:03 GMT5:03 AM 北京时间2:03 PM MST4:03 PM EST3:03 PM CT1:03 UAE (+1)16:03 ET19:03 - Peterson returned to practice for the Minnesota Vikings on Friday and is expected to play in Sunday's game at Cincinnati as long as he doesn't have any setbacks with his sprained right foot.
Analysis: Peterson, the league's second-leading rusher, is listed as questionable for Minnesota (4-9-1). He missed last week's game after spraining his foot a week earlier at Baltimore.
|Dec. 15 7:42 AM PT8:42 AM MT9:42 AM CT10:42 AM ET15:42 GMT11:42 PM 北京时间8:42 AM MST10:42 AM EST9:42 AM CT19:42 UAE10:42 ET13:42 - Adrian Peterson has been ruled out of Minnesota's game against Philadelphia because of a sprained right foot. With the Vikings out of playoff contention, they decided not to risk his health. Backup Toby Gerhart was also on the inactive list because of a hamstring injury.
Analysis: That left Matt Asiata, who had three career regular-season carries coming into the game, as the featured back. Joe Banyard was signed to the active roster from the practice squad.
|Dec. 8 10:17 AM PT11:17 AM MT12:17 PM CT1:17 PM ET18:17 GMT2:17 AM 北京时间11:17 AM MST1:17 PM EST12:17 PM CT22:17 UAE13:17 ET16:17 - Peterson has shed the walking boot on his sprained right foot, but he's not ready for practice.
Analysis: Coach Leslie Frazier says Peterson probably won't practice until Friday at the earliest. The Vikings host Philadelphia on Sunday, and Peterson's status is in question.
|Dec. 2 2:49 PM PT3:49 PM MT4:49 PM CT5:49 PM ET22:49 GMT6:49 AM 北京时间3:49 PM MST5:49 PM EST4:49 PM CT2:49 UAE (+1)17:49 ET20:49 - Peterson carried the ball 35 times for 211 yards in Sunday's win over Chicago.
Analysis: It was a season high rushing total for Peterson, though he didn't reach the end zone.
|Dec. 1 12:02 PM PT1:02 PM MT2:02 PM CT3:02 PM ET20:02 GMT4:02 AM 北京时间1:02 PM MST3:02 PM EST2:02 PM CT0:02 UAE (+1)15:02 ET18:02 - Adrian Peterson has become the third-fastest player in NFL history to reach 10,000 yards rushing for his career.
Analysis: Peterson passed the mark for Minnesota in the fourth quarter Sunday against Chicago in his 101st career game. Eric Dickerson got there in 91 games, and Jim Brown reached the milestone in 98 games.
|Nov. 29 2:24 PM PT3:24 PM MT4:24 PM CT5:24 PM ET22:24 GMT6:24 AM 北京时间3:24 PM MST5:24 PM EST4:24 PM CT2:24 UAE (+1)17:24 ET20:24 - Adrian Peterson returned to Minnesota Vikings' practice on Friday and is probable for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears.
Analysis: Peterson, second in the league with 997 yards rushing, has been limited for three weeks with a groin injury and was held out of practice Wednesday and Thursday. But the reigning MVP will be "ready to roll" when Minnesota hosts Chicago and its 32nd-ranked run defense Sunday.
|Nov. 25 10:20 AM PT11:20 AM MT12:20 PM CT1:20 PM ET18:20 GMT2:20 AM 北京时间11:20 AM MST1:20 PM EST12:20 PM CT22:20 UAE13:20 ET16:20 - Peterson ran 32 times for a season-high 146 yards with a TD on Sunday against the Packers.
Analysis: It's the third time this season he's rushed for at least 140.
|Nov. 21 9:58 AM PT10:58 AM MT11:58 AM CT12:58 PM ET17:58 GMT1:58 AM 北京时间10:58 AM MST12:58 PM EST11:58 AM CT21:58 UAE12:58 ET15:58 - Peterson says he plans on playing against Green Bay on Sunday despite a sore groin that has taken away some of his explosiveness.
Analysis: Peterson spoke before practice on Thursday. He is taking it easy during the week to rest up and prepare for a game against the Minnesota Vikings' biggest rivals. The reigning NFL MVP says he has not considered taking a week or two off to heal up now that the Vikings are 2-8 and at the bottom of the NFC North.
|Nov. 8 12:44 PM PT1:44 PM MT2:44 PM CT3:44 PM ET20:44 GMT4:44 AM 北京时间1:44 PM MST3:44 PM EST2:44 PM CT0:44 UAE (+1)15:44 ET18:44 - Peterson carried 20 times for 75 yards and two scores in Thursday's 34-27 win over Washington.
Analysis: Peterson won't match his amazing MVP season of 2012 but at least he found the end zone twice despite playing behind a pathetic o-line that is inept at blocking at times.
|Nov. 4 9:58 AM PT10:58 AM MT11:58 AM CT12:58 PM ET17:58 GMT1:58 AM 北京时间10:58 AM MST12:58 PM EST11:58 AM CT21:58 UAE12:58 ET15:58 - Peterson matched a season high with 140 rushing yards in Sunday's loss to Dallas.
Analysis: He has two TDs in the last two weeks of a trying season. This was his third 100-yard game this season.
|Oct. 22 11:57 AM PT12:57 PM MT1:57 PM CT2:57 PM ET18:57 GMT2:57 AM 北京时间11:57 AM MST1:57 PM EST1:57 PM CT22:57 UAE14:57 ET16:57 - Peterson rushed 13 times for 28 yards and had two receptions for that many yards in Monday's dismal 23-7 loss to the Giants.
Analysis: Peterson turned in his fifth-worst effort as a starter in his career and this was not what fantasy owners had in mind against a winless team.
|Oct. 19 10:36 AM PT11:36 AM MT12:36 PM CT1:36 PM ET17:36 GMT1:36 AM 北京时间10:36 AM MST12:36 PM EST12:36 PM CT21:36 UAE13:36 ET16:36 - Peterson has been listed as probable for Monday's night game against the New York Giants after missing some practice time this week because of tightness in his hamstring.
Analysis: Peterson took part in the workout Saturday, and coach Leslie Frazier said there should be no problem with Peterson playing.
|Oct. 17 10:56 AM PT11:56 AM MT12:56 PM CT1:56 PM ET17:56 GMT1:56 AM 北京时间10:56 AM MST12:56 PM EST12:56 PM CT21:56 UAE13:56 ET16:56 - Peterson has rejoined the Minnesota Vikings after missing practice to attend the funeral for his 2-year-old son.
Analysis: Peterson says he went to Sioux Falls, S.D., on Wednesday for the private service. The boy died last week in an alleged case of child abuse. Peterson says he didn't know the child was his until about two months ago and had been working with the boy's mother to support the family financially and meet the boy, whose name was Tyrese Robert Ruffin. Peterson says attending the funeral was extremely difficult. He plans to play on Monday night against the Giants.
|Oct. 16 9:49 AM PT10:49 AM MT11:49 AM CT12:49 PM ET16:49 GMT12:49 AM 北京时间9:49 AM MST11:49 AM EST11:49 AM CT20:49 UAE12:49 ET15:49 - Peterson was missing from practice Wednesday because of a personal matter.
Analysis: Coach Les Frazier said he expected him back on Thursday.
|Oct. 14 2:45 PM PT3:45 PM MT4:45 PM CT5:45 PM ET21:45 GMT5:45 AM 北京时间2:45 PM MST4:45 PM EST4:45 PM CT1:45 UAE (+1)17:45 ET20:45 - Peterson ran for a season-low 62 yards on 10 carries in Minnesota's 35-10 loss to Carolina on Sunday.
Analysis: Peterson is averaging a solid 4.7 yards per carry, but continues to be a victim of Minnesota's woeful offense, which limits his opportunities in the run game.
|Oct. 13 7:47 AM PT8:47 AM MT9:47 AM CT10:47 AM ET14:47 GMT10:47 PM 北京时间7:47 AM MST9:47 AM EST9:47 AM CT18:47 UAE10:47 ET13:47 - Peterson is suited up for Minnesota's game against Carolina.
Analysis: One of the star running back's sons, a 2-year-old in South Dakota, died Friday after an alleged attack in a child abuse case. Peterson said he would play Sunday, and as expected he is on the active list.
|Oct. 10 10:30 AM PT11:30 AM MT12:30 PM CT1:30 PM ET17:30 GMT1:30 AM 北京时间10:30 AM MST12:30 PM EST12:30 PM CT21:30 UAE13:30 ET16:30 - Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson said he is certain he will play Sunday, despite a serious personal matter that caused him to miss practice Thursday.
Analysis: Peterson declined to speak Friday specifically about the situation, asking reporters to respect his and his family's privacy. His father, Nelson Peterson, told the St. Paul Pioneer Press that one of Peterson's sons was in critical condition at a hospital in South Dakota.
|Sep. 30 12:14 PM PT1:14 PM MT2:14 PM CT3:14 PM ET19:14 GMT3:14 AM 北京时间12:14 PM MST2:14 PM EST2:14 PM CT23:14 UAE15:14 ET18:14 - Peterson carried the load with 140 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries in Sunday's 34-27 win over Pittsburgh in London.
Analysis: Peterson has run for 421 yards and five touchdowns on 92 carries in four games. He's second in the NFL in rushing behind Philadelphia's LeSean McCoy (468).
|Sep. 16 10:58 AM PT11:58 AM MT12:58 PM CT1:58 PM ET17:58 GMT1:58 AM 北京时间10:58 AM MST12:58 PM EST12:58 PM CT21:58 UAE13:58 ET16:58 - Peterson ran for 100 yards on 26 carries in Sunday's loss to the Bears.
Analysis: Peterson had a solid game but but wasn't a big enough factor for Minnesota. They chose not to hand off to him on second down at the Chicago 4. Instead, Christian Ponder threw an incomplete pass and Peterson got hit for no gain on third down, leaving the Vikings to settle for a 22-yard field goal by Walsh with 3:15 left.
|Sep. 10 12:09 PM PT1:09 PM MT2:09 PM CT3:09 PM ET19:09 GMT3:09 AM 北京时间12:09 PM MST2:09 PM EST2:09 PM CT23:09 UAE15:09 ET18:09 - Peterson rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns, but the Vikings lost 34-24 in their season opener at Detroit.
Analysis: It was only the second time in 11 games that Peterson did not reach the 100-yard mark.
|June 19 4:42 PM PT5:42 PM MT6:42 PM CT7:42 PM ET23:42 GMT7:42 AM 北京时间4:42 PM MST6:42 PM EST6:42 PM CT3:42 UAE (+1)19:42 ET22:42 - Last summer, Peterson's knee rehabilitation was the primary focus. During the winter, he was recovering from sports hernia surgery. Now, he's added some off-the-field commitments and is running the ball in practice for the Minnesota Vikings like there was never anything wrong with him.
Analysis: This is also the time for the Vikings to give the reigning NFL MVP some rest, too. Peterson was held out of minicamp drills on Wednesday. He worked out inside the team facility instead.
|May 29 1:37 PM PT2:37 PM MT3:37 PM CT4:37 PM ET20:37 GMT4:37 AM 北京时间1:37 PM MST3:37 PM EST3:37 PM CT0:37 UAE (+1)16:37 ET19:37 - Peterson's rehabilitation has been a lot easier this year.
Analysis: The NFL MVP is fully participating in practice this week with the Minnesota Vikings. He said Wednesday he's "pretty much 100 percent" healed from the surgery he had in February to repair a sports hernia. Peterson called his comeback this winter "a cakewalk compared to recovering from the ACL tear" that kept him out of offseason workouts in 2012. But Peterson added that he "earned a lot more respect" for his abdominal muscles over the last few months.
|Feb. 7 8:48 AM PT9:48 AM MT10:48 AM CT11:48 AM ET16:48 GMT12:48 AM 北京时间9:48 AM MST11:48 AM EST10:48 AM CT20:48 UAE11:48 ET14:48 - Peterson had surgery for a sports hernia on Thursday. The Vikings made the announcement on their website and say they "expect a speedy recovery with no long-term concerns." Peterson had the procedure in Philadelphia.
Analysis: Peterson, who also was named offensive player of the year after returning from a torn ACL to rush for 2,097 yards, was bothered by an abdominal injury for the last month of the season. He sat out the fourth quarter against Houston in December, which may have kept him from breaking Eric Dickerson's single-season rushing record.
|Feb. 2 4:56 PM PT5:56 PM MT6:56 PM CT7:56 PM ET0:56 GMT8:56 AM 北京时间5:56 PM MST7:56 PM EST6:56 PM CT4:56 UAE (+1)19:56 ET22:56 - Peterson's sensational season following major knee surgery has earned him The Associated Press 2012 NFL Most Valuable Player Award.
Analysis: Earlier Saturday, Peterson won Offensive Player of the Year. The Minnesota Vikings running back finished with 2,019 yards, a mere 9 yards short of breaking Eric Dickerson's rushing record. Peterson beat out Peyton Manning, who in his first season as Denver's quarterback contended for a fifth MVP trophy. Manning's four are a record. Peterson received 30 1-2 votes from a nationwide panel of 50 media members who regularly cover the NFL. Manning got the other 19 1-2 votes.
