Analysis: General manager Buddy Nix told the team's website Wednesday that the injury is not season-ending, but Anderson will miss significant time. Nix said Anderson is visiting specialist James Andrews to determine the severity of the injury. Anderson had difficulty putting any weight on his left leg after being hurt in the second half of a 45-3 loss at San Francisco on Sunday.

Analysis: Listed at 6-foot-4 and 255 pounds, Anderson has 35-1/2 sacks in six seasons, including 10 last year with the New England Patriots. Selected in the fifth-round of the 2006 draft by Chicago, Anderson spent four-plus seasons with the Bears before finishing the 2010 season playing with Williams in Houston.
