Analysis: "Right now, we are going to rally around DeAngelo Williams," Tomlin said. "He did a great job for us the first couple weeks this season when Le'Veon was out. We will get back with him being the feature guy in our backfield, and we will supplement the others around him." The Steelers signed Williams to a two-year contract in March to help take some of the workload off Bell.

Analysis: Carolina tagged Williams Tuesday as a post-June 1 designation, which allows them to save money under this year's salary cap by pushing a portion of Williams' prorated signing bonus into 2016. Williams ran for 6,846 yards and 46 touchdowns in Carolina, but his production dropped off in recent years. Injuries kept him out of 10 games last season and he ran for just 219 yards.
