Analysis: Scaife played six of his seven seasons with the Tennessee Titans, catching 251 passes for 2,383 yards and 12 touchdowns in 90 games. He spent last year on the Cincinnati Bengals injured reserve list because of a neck injury then signed with the Patriots on June 7.

Analysis: Scaife, 31, played six seasons with the Tennessee Titans after being selected in the 2005 sixth round out of Texas. The Denver native has played in 90 games with 62 starts, and has 251 receptions, 2,383 yards receiving and 12 touchdowns for his career. Last season, he had 36, 318 and four as the Titans finished 9-7, in second place behind Houston in the AFC South. Scaife's best season came in 2008-09, when he had 561 yards receiving.
