Analysis: Wallace left Sunday's game with the Philadelphia Eagles after the team's first series with a groin injury. That left Green Bay with Scott Tolzien at quarterback with Aaron Rodgers already out with a left collarbone injury.
|Nov. 5 9:14 AM PT10:14 AM MT11:14 AM CT12:14 PM ET17:14 GMT1:14 AM 北京时间10:14 AM MST12:14 PM EST11:14 AM CT21:14 UAE12:14 ET15:14 - Wallace was 11 for 19 for 114 yards and an interception in place of the injured Aaron Rodgers on Monday.
Analysis: It appears Rodgers could miss about three weeks with a shoulder injury, so Wallace could be asked to keep the Packers' afloat during that stretch. He's still not likely a fantasy option.
|Sep. 2 9:40 AM PT10:40 AM MT11:40 AM CT12:40 PM ET16:40 GMT12:40 AM 北京时间9:40 AM MST11:40 AM EST11:40 AM CT20:40 UAE12:40 ET15:40 - The Packers have signed Seneca Wallace just days after he was released by San Francisco, Green Bay's opening-game opponent. Wallace left the 49ers last week and San Francisco coach Jim Harbaugh said the quarterback was "not going to continue to play football." Wallace apparently is not retiring and was with the Packers for Monday's practice.
Analysis: Wallace is entering his 10th pro season, and replaces B.J. Coleman as the backup for Aaron Rodgers. Coleman was released Monday.
|Aug. 22 12:58 PM PT1:58 PM MT2:58 PM CT3:58 PM ET19:58 GMT3:58 AM 北京时间12:58 PM MST2:58 PM EST2:58 PM CT23:58 UAE15:58 ET18:58 - The San Francisco 49ers have added another quarterback to the competition to be Colin Kaepernick's backup, signing nine-year veteran Seneca Wallace to a one-year contract Thursday. Wallace, who was competing with Luke McCown to back up Drew Brees in New Orleans, had his contract terminated by the Saints on Monday.
Analysis: While Colt McCoy had appeared to be the favorite to win the No. 2 job coming into training camp, neither he nor Scott Tolzien have separated themselves. Even rookie B.J. Daniels has been deemed a contender, though clearly Wallace now will get a chance with little time to prepare before the Sept. 8 season opener against Green Bay.
|Aug. 19 12:12 PM PT1:12 PM MT2:12 PM CT3:12 PM ET19:12 GMT3:12 AM 北京时间12:12 PM MST2:12 PM EST2:12 PM CT23:12 UAE15:12 ET18:12 - A person familiar with the situation says the New Orleans Saints have cut reserve quarterback Seneca Wallace. The person spoke to The Associated Press about Monday's release of the 10th-year veteran on condition of anonymity because the Saints have not announced it.
Analysis: Wallace, whose release was first reported by ESPN, has been competing with Luke McCown to back up Drew Brees. Wallace struggled in his first preseason appearance last Friday against Oakland, completing only three of six passes for 32 yards in his five series leading the offense. He also was intercepted on a tipped pass and fumbled into the end zone, where Oakland recovered for a touchdown. Wallace was limited early in camp because of a groin pull.
