The Bears announced the signing Tuesday, a day after right guard Lance Louis was placed on injured reserve. He suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in Sunday's win over Minnesota on a blindside hit by the Vikings' Jared Allen and will miss the rest of the season. Left guard Chris Spencer also left the game with a knee injury. Analysis: A five-time Pro Bowl pick, Gurode made five starts at left guard and appeared in 13 games for Baltimore last season after playing with Dallas from 2002 to 2010. |
