Kicker Graham Gano took Bidwell's place last week and had a punt blocked. The Redskins worked out other punters Tuesday in case Bidwell couldn't return. |

Analysis: Bidwell was released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this month after playing for them since 2004. He went on injured reserved in August 2009. The 34-year-old Bidwell also was with the Green Bay Packers from 1999-2003, although he missed his entire rookie season because of testicular cancer. He has a career average of 42.8 yards and was a Pro Bowl pick in 2005. |
