The club said that Lance had a fibula fracture and a ligament disruption in his right ankle. Analysis: Lance was injured on a running play on the 49ers' second drive of their 27-7 victory, leaving the offense in the hands of former starter Jimmy Garoppolo the rest of the way. The more experienced Garoppolo could end up benefiting San Francisco's receivers, as Lance struggled in the team's Week 1 loss at Chicago by completing just 13 of 28 passes for 164 yards with an interception. |
