Analysis: The Jaguars signed free agent Nick Harris to replace him. Harris, in his 11th season, has spent time with Denver, Cincinnati and Detroit. Turk ranked near the bottom of the league in punting. His performance Sunday was one of his worst in 16 seasons. He had punts of 32, 23 and 22 yards in the second half, the last two into a stiff wind.

Analysis: Calling Turk a veteran would be an understatement. The 43-year-old player is joining his seventh franchise in 18 seasons. Turk said he had contact with Philadelphia and the New York Giants, as well as Houston, where he spent the last four seasons. He said the Texans asked him to hold off on making a choice until after they worked out Dave Zastudil and Daniel Sepulveda.
