Analysis: The TD saved this from being a complete loss of a day for Hopkins' fantasy owners. He was targeted only four times - half his previous season low - and that had something to do with the fact Houston didn't need to throw much with a big lead throughout the second half. He has five TDs in the past three weeks and six on the season after having just four in 2016.

Analysis: Two of his scores came at the end of the game in garbage time, but that certainly doesn't matter to fantasy owners. He's been a steady fantasy play with 35 catches for 363 yards and five scores in five games.

Analysis: Through four weeks, Hopkins leads the NFL with an average of 12.3 targets per game and is averaging 10 yards per catch.

Analysis: The Texans were just being a bit careful during practice with their star receiver, who leads the NFL with 37 targets.

Analysis: That's seven catches in each game for Hopkins, who has been targeted an incredible 37 times. He's only scored once.
|Sep. 14, 2017 8:49 PM PT9:49 PM MT10:49 PM CT11:49 PM ET3:49 GMT11:49 8:49 PM MST10:49 PM EST10:49 PM CT7:49 UAE (+1)23:49 ETNaN: - DeAndre Hopkins had seven receptions for 73 yards Thursday in the Houston Texans' 13-9 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Analysis: Hopkins has clearly emerged as a favorite target for new starter Deshaun Watson. He's totaled 14 catches for 128 yards and a score in two games.
|Sep. 10, 2017 4:16 PM PT5:16 PM MT6:16 PM CT7:16 PM ET23:16 GMT7:16 4:16 PM MST6:16 PM EST6:16 PM CT3:16 UAE (+1)19:16 ETNaN: - DeAndre Hopkins had seven receptions for 55 yards and one touchdown Sunday in the Houston Texans' 29-7 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Analysis: All but Hopkins' first catch for 7 yards came from Deshaun Watson, who replaced an ineffective Tom Savage to start the second half. Clearly, better quarterback play would help improve Hopkins' output.

The deal includes $49 million of guaranteed money, per Schefter. It is the largest amount of guaranteed money for a wide receiver in NFL history.
Analysis: Hopkins, 25, is entering his fifth NFL season, all with Houston, and has amassed 4,487 receiving yards and 23 touchdowns on 317 catches in 64 career games. His lone Pro Bowl season came in 2015 when Hopkins posted career-best totals of 111 catches, 1,521 yards and 11 touchdowns. Last season, Hopkins made 78 catches for 954 yards and four scores over 16 games.
|Aug. 17, 2017 12:05 PM PT1:05 PM MT2:05 PM CT3:05 PM ET19:05 GMT3:05 12:05 PM MST2:05 PM EST2:05 PM CT23:05 UAE15:05 ETNaN: - The Texans are maintaining a cautious approach with Hopkins, who hasn't practiced since getting hurting his hand during the Texans' preseason opener against the Panthers.
Analysis: The injury is not regarded as serious, but the Texans don't want to take any chances with the former Pro Bowler as they prepare for the season opener Sept. 10 vs. the Jags. "Look, the biggest thing with him is making sure that he feels 100 percent when he practices, making sure that when the season starts he's ready to go," coach Bill O'Brien said. "There's nothing really wrong with him. It's just more 'Hey, let's make sure this guy's ready to go on September 10."
