Analysis: The 27-year-old wide receiver on Monday posted a message on Twitter saying he will not be with the team when camp opens. Gordon says his absence is "part of my overall health and treatment plan," and he does he does plan to return at some point. Gordon participated in Cleveland's offseason programs. General manager John Dorsey says the team backs Gordon and plans to place him on the non-football illness list until he's ready to return.

Analysis: Gordon returned to the Browns and played five games last season following an NFL suspension and a lengthy rehab stint. He led the league with 1,646 yards receiving in 2012 and was an All-Pro in 2013, but he's played just 10 games over the past four seasons. After being re-instated last season, Gordon caught 18 passes for 335 yards and one touchdown.
