Galette and his cousin, Terrance Banks of Newark, New Jersey, were arrested Monday after a 22-year-old woman alleged the men assaulted her during an argument at Galette's home.
Analysis: Attorney Ralph Whalen says four witnesses, including Galette's girlfriend, and a video recording corroborate the player's version of events. Whalen says the case does not constitute domestic violence because the accuser is not in a relationship with Galette, does not live with him and because "there was no battery committed" by Galette. General manager Mickey Loomis says the club plans to let the legal process "run its course."

Analysis: Loomis met with reporters Tuesday to review the season. He says the Saints are going to take the arrest "very seriously" but allow "law enforcement and the legal process to run its course." Galette was arrested and released on bond Monday. Loomis says he has not spoken with him but the club's security director has. Loomis says the coaches, including defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, are being evaluated and he cannot say which assistants will remain.

Galette, an outside linebacker who has seven sacks this season, left the Saints' 41-10 loss to Carolina last Sunday in the second quarter. He limped off the field without help, but did not return to the game and has not practiced since.
Analysis: Galette, the only Saints player to miss practice Friday, was not wearing a brace or wrap over his knee as he spoke with media at his locker.
