Analysis: Hardy's agent Drew Rosenhaus said Thursday, "we are working very closely with the NFLPA on this process," adding that he hopes his client will be reinstated soon. Like Peterson, Hardy spent the majority of last season on the commissioner's exempt list preventing him from playing.

Analysis: Hardy's appeal in the case was set to begin Monday. But Mecklenburg County district attorney Andrew Murray told the judge that officials attempted many times to contact the woman, but failed. Murray said Hardy had a reached a civil suit agreement with the woman. Hardy and his attorney left the courthouse and did not answer questions.

Analysis: Hardy, a Pro Bowl defensive end, was placed on the exempt-commissioner's permission list Sept. 17, two months after being convicted on two counts of domestic violence. Hardy is appealing. His court date was recently pushed back to 2015. Hardy becomes a free agent in March.
Oct. 30 5:27 PM PT6:27 PM MT7:27 PM CT8:27 PM ET0:27 GMT8:27 AM 北京时间5:27 PM MST7:27 PM EST6:27 PM CT4:27 UAE (+1)20:27 ET22:27 - Charlotte Mecklenburg District Attorney's office spokeswoman Meghan Cooke has announced the Nov. 17 jury trial involving Hardy has been moved to 2015.
Analysis: Cooke said in a release Tuesday that a new trial date has not been set. Several media outlets reported last week the trial would be moved. Hardy is appealing his July 15 conviction on charges of assault on a female and communicating threats. The Panthers placed Hardy on the exempt-commissioner's permission list Sept. 17 and he cannot play for Carolina until his situation is resolved.
Sep. 17 10:40 AM PT11:40 AM MT12:40 PM CT1:40 PM ET17:40 GMT1:40 AM 北京时间10:40 AM MST12:40 PM EST12:40 PM CT21:40 UAE13:40 ET16:40 - The Carolina Panthers have removed Hardy from the team's active roster until the Pro Bowl defensive end's domestic violence case is resolved. The Panthers announced the decision Wednesday to place Hardy on the exempt-commissioner's permission list just hours after the Vikings took a similar disciplinary approach with Adrian Peterson, who is addressing child abuse charges in Texas.
Analysis: Carolina general manager Dave Gettleman said Hardy will continue to be paid, is allowed to be at the team facility but will not practice. Hardy was convicted July 15 of assault on a female and communicating threats after the victim claimed the 6-foot-4, 275-pound player threw her in the bathtub and onto a sofa covered with guns before threatening to kill her. Hardy is appealing the ruling and a jury trial is set for Nov. 17.
Sep. 14 7:55 AM PT8:55 AM MT9:55 AM CT10:55 AM ET14:55 GMT10:55 PM 北京时间7:55 AM MST9:55 AM EST9:55 AM CT18:55 UAE10:55 ET13:55 - Hardy is inactive for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions. That news comes after Panthers coach Ron Rivera said Friday that Hardy would play.
Analysis: Hardy was convicted July 15 of assault on a female and communicating threats. He is appealing the ruling. He was active against Tampa Bay in Week 1. Mario Addison is expected to start in Hardy's spot. Carolina's sitting of Hardy comes in the wake of personal conduct incidents involving Baltimore's Ray Rice and Minnesota's Adrian Peterson.

The Pro Bowl defensive end is appealing a July 15 conviction on misdemeanor charges of assaulting a female and communicating threats.
Analysis: The trial date is scheduled during Carolina's bye week. Carolina hosts Atlanta on Nov. 16. However, Fialko issued a statement Monday saying he believes the trial will be pushed back.
June 25 12:05 PM PT1:05 PM MT2:05 PM CT3:05 PM ET19:05 GMT3:05 AM 北京时间12:05 PM MST2:05 PM EST2:05 PM CT23:05 UAE15:05 ET18:05 - Hardy has been found guilty of assaulting a female and communicating threats.
Analysis: Mecklenburg County Judge Rebecca Thorn-Tin on Tuesday sentenced Hardy to 18 months' probation. A 60-day jail sentence was suspended. Hardy's attorney Chris Fialko says he'll appeal and Hardy has asked for a jury trial in superior court. In North Carolina that means the terms of Hardy's probation are on hold until the trial - so he's free to travel with the team to training camp and compete in games.
May 16 12:52 PM PT1:52 PM MT2:52 PM CT3:52 PM ET19:52 GMT3:52 AM 北京时间12:52 PM MST2:52 PM EST2:52 PM CT23:52 UAE15:52 ET18:52 - A Mecklenburg County Sheriff's spokeswoman says Hardy has turned over 10 guns to police as part of a court order.
Analysis: Julia Rush says all the guns surrendered Friday were legal under North Carolina statutes. A license is not needed to own a gun in the state, only a permit to purchase and carry a concealed weapon.
May 14 7:09 AM PT8:09 AM MT9:09 AM CT10:09 AM ET14:09 GMT10:09 PM 北京时间7:09 AM MST9:09 AM EST9:09 AM CT18:09 UAE10:09 ET13:09 - A Charlotte Mecklenburg County judge has set bond for Greg Hardy at $17,000 one day after the Carolina Panthers' Pro Bowl defensive end was arrested on charges of assault on a female and communicating threats. Judge Rebecca Thorne Tin on Wednesday ordered Hardy not to have any contact with the accuser and to attend three Alcoholic Anonymous meetings per week.
Analysis: Hardy's attorney, Chris Fialko, argues in court that his client was abused and Hardy made the 911 phone call to police at 4:18 a.m. Tuesday. But the accuser's attorney, Stephen Goodwin, says his client was held down by one of Hardy's friends and prevented from calling police. Goodwin says she has bruises from "from head to toe" and that she was "flung around the room" by the 6-foot-4, 290-pound Hardy.
May 13 11:08 AM PT12:08 PM MT1:08 PM CT2:08 PM ET18:08 GMT2:08 AM 北京时间11:08 AM MST1:08 PM EST1:08 PM CT22:08 UAE14:08 ET17:08 - Charlotte Mecklenburg police say Panthers Pro Bowl defensive end Greg Hardy has been arrested for assault on a female and communicating threats.
Analysis: Police say in a press release Hardy turned himself in Tuesday and was transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office. Hardy signed the team's franchise tag tender in March and will make $13.116 million this season if he doesn't sign an extension before July 15.
Feb. 28 2:29 PM PT3:29 PM MT4:29 PM CT5:29 PM ET22:29 GMT6:29 AM 北京时间3:29 PM MST5:29 PM EST4:29 PM CT2:29 UAE (+1)17:29 ET21:29 - Hardy has signed his franchise tag tender with the Carolina Panthers.
Analysis: Hardy, who said in January he'd have no issue if the team used the franchise tag to keep him, will make $13.1 million next season if he doesn't sign a long-term extension before July 15. Hardy had 15 sacks last season, tying a franchise record previously established by Kevin Greene in 1996, and was selected to his first Pro Bowl.
