Analysis: Pitta dislocated his hip on Friday for the third time in five years and the latest could be a career-ending injury, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Pitta will need surgery to repair the hip. The 31-year-old Pitta, who came back last season to lead the team with 86 receptions, was injured without being hit, according to the Ravens.

Analysis: Each time Pitta hurt the hip previously, the injury was serious enough to be considered career-ending. It's too soon to determine whether that's the case this time. Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome said Pitta is undergoing tests to determine the severity of the injury.
