Croatia vs. Portugal
Minute Commentary
120' PORTUGAL PROGRESS IN EXTRA TIME
Portugal progress into the quarter-final of Euro 2016 after an extra time victory over Croatia in Lens. The game lacked any real quality and there was no shots on target in normal time. Pepe should have scored for Portugal in the first half but headed over the bar from close range. The game picked up in extra time and the second period really caught fire. Ante Cacic's side came close to breaking the deadlock when Ivan Perisic saw his header come back off the post. However, it was Fernando Santos's men that took the lead moments later as they break forward on the counter attack through Nani. The forward's cross found Cristiano Ronaldo whose shot was saved by Danijel Subasic but only into the path of substitute Ricardo Quaresma who nodded the ball home from close range. The result means Portugal will play Poland in the quarter-final on Thursday in Marseilles.

45' STALE MATE
It's stale mate at half time between Croatia and Portugal in Lens. It's been a scrappy half in truth with many fouls being given. The only real chance fell to Pepe in the 26th minute. Raphael Guerreiro curled in an excellent free-kick onto the head of the Real Madrid defender but he failed to hit the target and let Ante Cacic's men off the hook. Everyone watching will be hoping for a more open game in the second half otherwise this one looks destined for penalties!

Nothing of great note to report yet apart from Ivan Perisic's spectacular hair do. He's managed to turn his hair into the Croatia flag..
1' KICK OFF
The match is underway in Lens.
0' IMPRESSIVE CROATIA
Croatia finished their Group D campaign with an impressive win over Spain; ending their 14-game unbeaten run at the Euro's in the process. Ante Caci's side have been a form team so far in the tournament and would have come through the group stages with maximum points had it not been for a late collapse against the Czech Republic in Saint Ettiene.
0' REVAMPED RONALDO?
Fernando Santos has a fully fit squad to pick from and will be hoping that captain Cristiano Ronaldo can build the two goals he netted against Hungary. It's been a mixed tournament so far for the Portuguese talisman, missing a penalty against Austria, but we all know what he is capable of.
0' MAGIC MODRIC
Croatia will be hoping that Luka Modric will be fit enough to play this evening. The inspirational Real Madrid midfielder picked up an injury in the 2-2 draw against the Czech Republic but looks set to return to the squad.
0' CROATIA VS PORTUGAL
Croatia face Portugal in Lens tonight in what promises to be an entertaining affair between two attacking sides. The Croats scored five goals in the group stages while Portugal finished third in Group F after a thrilling 3-3 draw with Iceland.
