Sweden vs. Belgium
Minute Commentary
90' FULL TIME REPORT
It wasn't to be for Zlatan Ibrahimovic tonight as his 116th, and last, international game for Sweden ended in a 1-0 defeat to Belgium, meaning Sweden's competition is cut short. A late Radja Nainggolan goal means that Belgium qualify for the final 16 and will face Hungary on Sunday evening. It was a game which both teams dominated in spells and there were chances galore - many spurned. Sweden's Marcus Berg missed a golden chance early on before Ibrahimovic shot just wide. Thomas Meunier sent a header wide for Belgium just before the break. The second half was just as entertaining and both sides came even closer. Both Ibrahimovic and Romelu Lukaku had goals ruled out for offisde while Lukaku wasted a one-on-one chance. Andreas Granqvist saw a header cleared off the line before Belgium broke Swedish hearts. Full time, it's Sweden 0-1 Belgium.
90' FULL TIME
There goes the full time whistle. It's the end of the road for Sweden, but Belgium go through to face Hungary on Sunday night.
90' TIME RUNNING OUT
Skipper Eden Hazard goes off to a standing ovation from the Belgium fans, as he is replaced by Divock Origi.
90' SAVED
It's nearly 2-0 as Eden Hazard busts a gut to keep the ball in by the byline. He squares for sub Christian Benteke, whose low shot is well saved by the diving Andreas Isaksson.
89' CHANCE
We've less than two minutes of the 90 left and Sweden have a free kick to the left of centre. Sweden ideally need to score this if they're to complete a famous turnaround and qualify. Jimmy Durmaz's delivery is good but Thomas Meunier's defensive header is even better.
86' NO LUCK
It's just not going to be Zlatan Ibrahimovic's night tonight. He tries to get his side back on terms here but his hooked effort from the edge of the area loops wide.
84' GOOOAAALLL!!!
We have the breakthrough! It's so harsh on Sweden who have been the better side for large periods of this game. A cross is headed out to RADJA NAINGGOLAN who smashes the ball past Andreas Isaksson. Keeper had no chance there. Heartbreak for Sweden.
83' OFF THE LINE
Sweden aren't having any luck as they see a superb Andreas Granqvist header cleared off the lines by Kevin De Bruyne. Time is running out for Sweden.
81' LAST THROW
Erik Hamren makes his final change now as Erkan Zengin replaces Emil Forsberg.
79' OVER
Romelu Lukaku is a tough player to deal with for even the best defender. He receives a pass from De Bruyne and uses his strength to turn well, before unleashing a fierce drive from the edge of the box. It's always rising and Andreas Isaksson watches it over.
76' FREE KICK
Free kick 25 yards from goal for the Swedes. Step forward Zlatan. He smashes his shot past the wall and it's heading for the bottom corner but Thibaut Courtois gets across well to punch away from danger.
75' OFFSIDE
Belgium have the ball in the back of the net now, but like with Sweden, it's chalked off. Lukaku once more is put through but the assistant raises his flag very late. The striker manages to stick that chance away. Typical.
73' GOT TO SCORE
Belgium should be leading here as Romelu Lukaku goes through on goal with Erik Johansson bearing down on him. He's denied by a superb save from Andreas Isaksson but a player of his quality should be bagging there.
71' CHANGE
Belgium make a change of their own after a Swedish corner comes to nothing. Dries Mertens is on for Yannick Carrasco.
69' SUB
Here's a substitution the hipsters out there will like. Olympiakos winger Jimmy Durmaz comes on for Sebastian Larsson. Durmaz is sporting a very big beard - looks like he'd fit in well in ZZ Top.
66' SAVED
A sloppy pass from Emil Forsberg starts a Belgium counter down the left. Kevin De Bruyne brings it forward and strikes towards the bottom corner but Andreas Isaksson is down well to put behind.
64' CHANGE
The first change of the game is made by Sweden and it's John Guidetti who is introduced, in place of Marcus Berg.
62' OFFSIDE
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has the ball in the net! But it won't count... It originally looks as if he's been flagged for offside as Berg flicked the ball through for Zlatan to volley home. The replays appear to indicate the ref has signalled a high foot on Berg. Very harsh as it appears to be more of a low head from Thomas Vermaelen.
59' PEN APPEAL
Belgium want a penalty as Thomas Meunier's cross strikes Andreas Granqvist. It's right in front of the additional assistant and the decision not to award a penalty is spot on as it strikes his armpit.
57' UNLUCKY
Sweden burst forward with Zlatan. He goes to shoot on his left from the corner of the box but it takes a nick on its way. It lands at Marcus Berg's feet but he can't alter them quickly enough before Thibaut Courtois gathers. So unlucky for Sweden, that.
54' ALMOST
Zlatan slides in Marcus Berg who looks to be in but a poor first touch sees the ball roll away from him. He recovers possession and lays off Albin Ekdal who sidefoots from the edge of the area. It ricochets off a man and drops into the arms of Thibaut Courtois. He has to leather the ball from there.
51' ON TOP
The Swedes have started off on top this half. A searching cross finds the head of Zlatan. He gets up well but can't get over his header, sending it over the bar. Is it written in the stars for him to nick the winner and send his beloved Sweden through?
48' CHANCE
Sweden have the first chance of the second half and it falls to Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The big man receives a cross in the box and as he goes to shot Jan Vertonghen throws himself into the path of the shot, blocking it. Terrific defending from the Spurs man.
46' UNDERWAY
The final 45 minutes of the group stage kick off. Both sides keep the same sides the finished the first period.
45' HALF TIME REPORT
Sweden and Belgium head down the tunnels at the break goalless but this game hasn't been without its fair share of chances. It's been an evenly-contested game throughout the 45 minutes with both sides more or less splitting the chances down the middle. Sweden started off on the front foot and should've taken the lead as early as five minutes in when a free kick led to a loose ball in the box, but Marcus Berg could only send his effort straight at Thibaut Courtois. Zlatan Ibrahimovic flicked a shot inches wide before Romelu Lukaku failed to reach a Yannick Carrasco cross. Thomas Meunier came so close with seconds of the half left but directed his header the wrong side of the post. Hopefully we'll have some goals in the second half.
45' HALF TIME
After one uneventful additional minute, Felix Brych brings the half to a close.
44' CLOSE
Just one minute plus stoppages until the break and Belgium so nearly break the deadlock. A short corner is taken to De Bruyne, and he whips an inswinger in for Thomas Meunier to head. The full-back's header is milimetres away from nestling in the corner.
41' EASY
A free kick is launched in by Sweden but it's so easy for Thibaut Courtois to jump and claim. He sends a long throw to Eden Hazard, sparking a counter. Hazard finds Lukaku in the middle who turns his man before slotting in Kevin De Bruyne. The Man City man thinks he's through but the flag goes up. You have to say, the counter attack really is one of Belgium's strong points.
38' CAREFUL
Sweden need to be careful now as they're accumulating bookings at pace. Erik Johansson makes a reckless challenge and Felix Brych takes down his name and numbers. Just over five minutes to go until the break and we are still goalless.
36' CHANCE
Yannick Carrasco is sporting a rather suave quiff and beard combo this evening and his performance is matching his appearance so far. He turns Victor Lindelof inside out before drilling the ball across the face of goal. Once more Lukaku hasn't gambled and no one is on the end of the cross.
33' BOOKING
Moments later Albin Ekdal hauls down Kevin De Bruyne 25 yards out and levels the caution count. Jan Vertonghen's powerful free kick is into the wall.
31' BOOKED
He'd been warned and he's fouled again, so Thomas Meunier is in the book. Three of Belgium's back four are a yellow card away from missing the next round should they make it.
29' GAPING
Kevin De Bruyne gets into a great position and crosses to space at the back stick but Lukaku can't quite extend his reach enough to poke home the opener.
27' TOED AWAY
Yannick Carrasco sends a ball into the box and it looks as if Romelu Lukaku is going to pull the trigger and score but Andreas Granqvist gets a vital toe onto the ball. Down the other end Toby Alderweireld stands strong to block a goalbound volley from Zlatan.
25' CLOSEST
This is the closest we've come so far as Zlatan Ibrahimovic digs a shot from under his feet goalwards. It flies a whisker wide of the framework, with Thibaut Courtois beaten. That must've taken a lick of paint off the post on its way.
23' OVER
We're half way through the half and it's been very evenly matched in all aspects. Sebastian Larsson tries from range but can only fire over. Belgium must have had six men behind the ball there, meaning Sweden could only resort to distance shooting.
20' GOOD PLAY
Emil Forsberg is on the ball again and streams forward. The winger, recently promoted to the Bundesliga with Leipzig, slips the ball into Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who thinks on his feet to flick it up and volley. Thomas Vermaelen is there to boldly block. Had Zlatan opted to play a one-two with Forsberg he could've been in.
17' NO PACE
Radja Nainggolan dinks a cross into the box with Lukaku and Hazard lurking near the far post. It's over the head of both and out. The best option for the Roma man there would have been a pacy cross rather than a floated ball.
14' FREE KICK
Thomas Meunier gets a talking-to from referee Felix Brych as he brushes Emil Forsberg over. Forsberg was travelling at pace and the slightest knock would've taken him down. They can't create anything of note from the set-piece and Belgium clear.
12' CROSS
Marc Wilmots' side pose a real threat from crosses with the tricky wingers and Lukaku in the box. A ball comes in from Yannick Carrasco which Andreas Isaksson flaps at before the ball is cleared. Moments later, Jan Vertonghen sends a perfect cross into the box, but Lukaku hasn't made a darting run in behind and the ball bounces out for a goal kick.
10' GOING BACK
Belgium will know all too well that a draw sees them safely through to the next round, but they keep passing back already when in midfield. It's as if, ten minutes in, they're playing for time.
7' WHAT A START
Following the thrilling Group F games earlier, it looks as if this tournament is finally getting going. This game has started superbly and Belgium win a corner as Romelu Lukaku's driving run ends with a deflected shot. A corner is given and from that, a loose ball is just missed by Witsel. Had he connected he'd have scored.
5' CHANCE
Right down the other end Sweden should be a goal to the good. A free kick bobbles around and it sits up nicely for Marcus Berg who sticks a leg out. All he has to do is hit it either side of the keeper and it's 1-0 but he smashes it straight at Thibaut Courtois. Will they regret this?
3' EARLY CHANCES
It looks as if we're going to have an open game here as both sides get into the respective final thirds early on. The first shot comes from Belgium though; Axel Witsel moves into space and receives the ball from Eden Hazard, before firing narrowly over the cross-section.
1' UNDERWAY
Belgium kick the game off.
0' BELGIUM TEAM NEWS
Like his Scandinavian counterpart, Marc Wilmots makes just one change to the side that hammered the Republic of Ireland. Radja Nainggolan comes into the centre in place of Mousa Dembele, who is on the bench as a precaution after limping off in the last match.
0' SWEDEN TEAM NEWS
Erik Hamren makes just the one change to his Sweden side after the Italy defeat. Marcus Berg comes back into the starting line-up to partner Zlatan Ibrahimovic up top, as John Guidetti makes way.

0' PREVIEW
Group E draws to a close this evening as Sweden take on Belgium at the Allianz Riviera in Nice and the message for these two couldn't be cleared - win and you're through. If that's not incentive enough for a strong performance and result then I don't know what is. A point for Belgium will take them through in second while Sweden would go through in second with a win, so long as the Republic of Ireland don't beat Italy and have a three-goal swing in their favour. A draw for Sweden will not be enough to see them finish as a best third-place team. Both sides have underachieved across their two games so far; Belgium were expected to take maximum points from their three group games, while many thought Zlatan Ibrahimovic and co would have at least recorded a win against an average Ireland side. Swedish hearts were broken late on last time out as Italy struck with two minutes to go to claim a 1-0 win. Belgium eased to a 3-0 win over bottom of the group Ireland, but they can be sure tonight's will prove a sterner test. All eyes will be on Zlatan tonight though, as he has stated he will retire when Sweden exit the tournament, and can you really see the ten-times Swedish player of the year going out without a bang?
0' INJURY NEWS
Sweden will have to do without their first-choice right-back Mikael Lustig, who is still sidelined courtesy of a groin problem. Manager Erik Hamren may not change any players if he doesn't have to, following a battling display against Italy. Mousa Dembele will likely not feature after sustaining an ankle injury against Ireland, while defensive pairing Jan Vertonghen and Thomas Vermaelen will be banned for the next round should they pick up a yellow card.
0' HEAD TO HEAD
These sides last met in a friendly game prior to the 2014 World Cup, which Belgium won 2-1, but the two haven't met competitively for over 16 years; another 2-1 Belgium win during Euro 2000. There have been a total of 14 meetings between the two, with Sweden failing to beat the Belgians since 1961 - a whole 55 years ago.
0' OFFICIALS
German Felix Brych is the man in the middle for this meeting, with Mark Borsch and Stefan Lupp his assistants. Bastian Dankert and Marco Fritz are the additional assistants while the fourth official is Matej Jug.
