Wilson hat trick leads Bournemouth past Huddersfield

Bournemouth claimed all three points with a 4-0 rout of visiting Huddersfield Town on Saturday, thanks to a hat trick from talismanic forward Callum Wilson.

Bournemouth (4-1-7) have won two in a row and three of the last four within the Premier League.

However, for the opening half-hour Huddersfield (4-3-5) were the much better team. Rajiv van la Parra had three presentable chances, two well saved by Asmir Begovic, and ex-Cherry Scott Malone went close with an effort just wide.

But Wilson scored in the 26th and 31st minutes for Bournemouth. Harry Arter scored in the 69th and Wilson finished his memorable offensive day with a score in the 84th.

Huddersfield have dropped four of their last six matches.
