Mississippi St rolls past South Alabama

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) The first sellout in South Alabama's six years as a football program was not enough to upset Southeastern Conference opponent Mississippi State.

The Bulldogs eclipsed the 500-yard plateau for a school-record fourth straight game as quarterback Dak Prescott rushed, threw and caught a touchdown for the second time in his career. Mississippi State finished with 514 yards in the 35-3 victory at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.

"This was the biggest game in the history of Mobile, Alabama," said Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen. "Mississippi State is plastered as the biggest game in the history of this city and it was won by Mississippi State University. Not Auburn, not Alabama - Mississippi State."
