Idaho may return to Big Sky football

(STATS) - The University of Idaho may be ready to rejoin the Big Sky Conference for football, becoming the first program to drop from the FBS level to the FCS.

FootballScoop reported Wednesday that Idaho school president Chuck Staben will make an announcement about the future of the program on Thursday, and expectations are the Vandals will return to a conference they played in from 1963-95.

Idaho's other athletic teams compete in the Big Sky.
