QB Golson no longer enrolled at Notre Dame

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) A Notre Dame spokesman says quarterback Everett Golson is no longer enrolled at the school.

Spokesman Dennis Brown says Golson, who led the Fighting Irish to an undefeated regular season and the national championship game in his first season as a starter during his sophomore season, was no longer enrolled in the school as of Friday. Brown says he couldn't comment on why because of federal privacy laws.

Golson was 187 of 318 passing, a 58.8 completion rate, with 12 touchdown passes and six interceptions as the Irish went 12-1, losing 42-14 loss to Alabama in the BCS title game. He had a pass efficiency rating of 131.01, placing him 62nd among quarterbacks nationwide.
