Southern beats MVSU 44-13 for share of SWAC title | |
BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) Brian McCain and Donte Shorts each rushed for two touchdowns as Southern clawed out of an early hole to defeat Mississippi Valley State 44-13 on Saturday. The Jaguars (8-3, 7-1 Southwest Athletic) end the regular season on a six-game win streak and match Alcorn State and previously unbeaten Grambling at 7-1 in conference.
