Wagner, turnovers stop Colgate 31-20

NEW YORK (AP) Nick Doscher passed for two touchdowns and ran for another Saturday and Wagner stopped Colgate 31-20 in a first-round Football Championship Subdivision playoff game.

The Seahawks (9-3), Northeast Conference champions and winners of nine straight, held the Raiders (8-4) to 296 yards. The Patriot League champions were averaging 503.7 per game.

A season-high five turnovers hurt Colgate. Wagner's first score, a 17-yard Doscher pass to Anthony Carrington, came on the first play after intercepting a Gavin McCarney pass. Colgate's first three second-half possessions ended in two McCarney fumbles and an interception.
