LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) Kolton Browning threw two touchdown passes and Louisiana-Monroe held on to defeat Louisiana-Lafayette 31-28 Saturday night.
Browning hit Rashon Ceaser with a 16-yard touchdown pass, then connected with Ajalen Holley for a two-point conversion to give Louisiana-Monroe (6-6, 4-3 Sun Belt Conference) a 28-21 lead. Justin Maton kicked a 28-yard field goal to cap the scoring for ULM. Holley also caught a 29-yard touchdown from Browning in the first quarter.
Brooks Haack threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Jamal Robinson to bring Louisiana-Lafayette within three with 53 seconds remaining, yet the Rajin' Cajuns did not recover the ensuing onside kick.
