Michigan to wear commemorative jerseys vs. Alabama

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) Michigan's football team will wear commemorative jerseys in its season opener against Alabama.

The school announced its plans Monday for the Sept. 1 game in Arlington, Texas.

The Wolverines will wear a white road jersey with maize across the shoulders and down to the sleeve. Blue piping will separate the maize from the white on the jersey. A blue block `M' will appear on the left and right sleeve of the jersey, and the player numbers are blue.

Michigan will wear its traditional maize pants with the blue block `M' on the left hip.
