Oregon State CB Poyer arrested for trespass

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) Oregon State cornerback Jordan Poyer was arrested in connection with trespassing at a nightclub near campus over the weekend.

Poyer, 21, is scheduled to appear on second-degree trespassing charge in Benton County Circuit Court on June 7.

Police say Poyer was barred from the Impulse Bar & Grill earlier this year, but managed to get into the club by using an alternate entrance. He was detained by Impulse security before police arrived early Saturday.

Poyer posted on Twitter Tuesday that the incident was a "big misunderstanding" and got blown out of proportion.
