Jackolski lifts Stony Brook past Albany (NY) 31-28

STONY BROOK, N.Y. (AP) Brock Jackolski scored three touchdowns in the second half to rally Stony Brook past Albany 31-28 on Saturday in the first round of the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs.

The Seawolves (9-3), who trailed 28-10 with 13:25 left in the third quarter, won their ninth straight game. They will play at Sam Houston State Saturday.

Jackolski ran in a 6-yard TD and caught a 55-yard pass from Kyle Essington, pulling Stony Brook within four, 28-24, with 1:16 left in the third quarter.

Jackolski then ran in a score from 11 yards with 12:40 to play. He finished with 103 yards on 22 carries, and Miguel Maysonet had 75 yards on 22 carries for the Seawolves, who outgained Albany 164-82 rushing.

Dan Di Lella had 223 yards and a touchdown on 24 of 43 passing for Albany (8-4), while throwing 12 times to Ryan Kirchner for 143 yards and one touchdown.
