Keenum leads Houston to 56-0 rout of Georgia State

HOUSTON (AP) Case Keenum threw for 415 yards and two touchdowns in just two and a half quarters of play, and Houston recorded its first shutout since 1999 in a 56-0 rout of Georgia State on Saturday.

Justin Johnson caught six passes for 83 yards and two touchdowns for the Cougars (4-0), while Bryce Beall rushed for 64 yards and two touchdowns and Michael Hayes had 58 yards rushing and a score.

Keenum, who was 29 for 34 through the air, passed former BYU quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Ty Detmer for third on the NCAA all-time passing yardage list, and passed former Texas Tech quarterback Graham Harrell for third on the NCAA career total offense list.

Drew Little was 11 of 24 for 117 yards, and Travis Evans rushed for 70 yards on 14 carries for Georgia State (1-3), an FCS football program in its second year of existence.
