Bucknell defeats Army 78-70 in Patriot semifinal

LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) Mike Muscala scored 21 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and hit clutch free throws to lead Bucknell to a 78-70 victory over Army Saturday in a Patriot League tournament semifinal.

The Bison (27-5), the regular-season champ, reached its third straight final and will play Lafayette Wednesday night.

Bucknell, which won its sixth straight, led 36-31 at halftime. But Army (16-15) drew within 57-55 behind Kyle Wilson (21 points) and Kevin Ferguson and Larry Toomey (11 apiece). Wilson's layup and a foul shot would give the Black Knights a 61-59 lead.
