NEW YORK (AP) Ben Mockford scored 22 points and St. Francis Brooklyn defeated Sacred Heart 92-80 Saturday in a showdown for the eighth and final Northeast Conference tournament berth.

Mockford made 6 of 11 from 3-point range as the Terriers (12-17, 8-10) made 12 of 27 (44.4 percent). The Pioneers (9-20, 7-11), who lost their seventh straight, were 4 of 18 (22.2 percent) on 3s.

St. Francis, which will play at Robert Morris in the tournament on Wednesday, used an 18-3 run midway through the first half for a 34-21 lead. It started the second half with an 8-2 run for a 53-38 advantage and led by double figures for all but 34 seconds after that.
