Fairfield beats Saint Peter's 64-55

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) Marcus Gilbert scored 20 points as fifth-seeded Fairfield beat No.4 seed Saint Peter's 64-55 in the Metro-Atlantic Athletic Conference tournament quarterfinal on Saturday night.

Tyler Nelson added 15 points and Matija Milin had 10 for the Stags (19-12) who advance to play No. 1 Monmouth in the tournament semifinals on Sunday.

Gilbert made four 3-pointers and a dunk in the first half to help the Stags to a 35-27 edge at halftime.
