Bryant pummels St. Francis (PA) 85-60 in NEC rout

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (AP) Alex Francis scored 19 points and posted his third consecutive double-double as Bryant led throughout in an 85-60 victory over St. Francis (Pa.) Saturday in Northeast Conference play.

The Bulldogs, who finished 2-28 last season, 1-17 in the NEC, are now 19-10, 12-6. They guaranteed themselves a home game Wednesday in the NEC tournament.

Bryant, which led 41-30 at halftime, got double-figure scoring from Corey Maynard (season-high 18 points), Dyami Starks (14), Joe O'Shea (12) and Vlad Kondratyev, who recorded a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double. Francis grabbed 12 rebounds.
