Maryland-Eastern Shore rallies to beat Delaware State 65-64

DOVER, Del. (AP) Bakari Copeland scored 17 points and Maryland-Eastern Shore overcame a 13-point halftime deficit to defeat Delaware State 65-64 on Saturday.

The Hawks (11-18, 8-6 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) trailed the Hornets 41-28 at halftime and 48-36 with 12:23 to play. Maryland-Eastern Shore chipped away however, outscoring Delaware State 24-12 over the next 9:24, and finally tying it on a Ryan Andino 3 with 2:59 left.

After a DeVaughn Mallory tip-in gave the advantage back to Delaware State, Isaac Taylor made two at the line to spark five straight Hawks' points which gave them the lead for good.
