Montana tops Weber State, 74-63, takes over 1st

MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) Martin Breunig scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Montana muscled its way past Weber State, 74-63 on Saturday night.

Montana (16-10, 12-3) moves a half-game ahead of Eastern Washington (11-3), which lost to Northern Arizona Saturday, to take the Big Sky Conference lead.

Brandon Gfeller and Riley Bradshaw both knocked down 3-pointers to help give Montana a 10-point lead in the final minute of the first half, but Ryan Richardson hit a 3-pointer to cut the Weber State deficit to seven, 36-29 at the break.
