WALNUT CREEK, Calif. (AP) Hall of Famer Bill Walton is joining the new Pac-12 Networks as a color analyst who will work select college basketball games this season.

Walton returns to broadcasting after a two-year hiatus to deal with back problems. He'll also work as an ESPN analyst.

The former UCLA star has spent 21 years doing commentary on the NBA, Final Four and Olympic basketball games for a variety of networks.

Walton says Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott "is a huge reason" why he chose to work with the new TV network.

The Pac-12 Networks said Wednesday that it will televise 150 live men's basketball games this season, including eight conference tournament games. Every home conference game will be televised for the first time in league history. Last year, more than 90 league games weren't on TV.
