Harris granted release from NC State for transfer

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) North Carolina State has granted a requested release for Tyler Harris so the forward can transfer.

Harris averaged 1.8 points and 1.2 rebounds in 19 games during mostly spot duty as a freshman last season. He started three games.

In a statement, coach Mark Gottfried says he's "disappointed" his staff won't be able to keep working with Harris.
