Guy Lewis still waiting for call from Hall

By CHRIS DUNCAN
HOUSTON (AP) Former University of Houston coach Guy Lewis will be passed over again when a new class of Hall of Fame inductees is announced before Monday's national championship game in New Orleans.
Many of his former players, including Elvin Hayes, Clyde Drexler and Hakeem Olajuwon, have unsuccessfully campaigned for their coach for years, and their frustration builds with each passing year. Hayes hasn't visited the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame since his induction in 1990 and says he won't end the boycott until his coach is enshrined.
Lewis turned 90 earlier this month, and he no longer does interviews. His daughter says he appreciates the interest but isn't bothered by not being in the hall.
