Winthrop defeats Presbyterian 76-58

CLINTON, S.C. ( (AP) Toneari Lane scored 16 points as Winthrop beat Presbyterian 76-58 on Saturday.

Lane was 6 of 10 shooting (3 for 6 from distance) for the Eagles (10-13, 5-5 Big South Conference). Kasen Harrison added 14 points while going 4 of 7 and 5 of 5 from the free throw line, and he also had six rebounds. Cameron Whiteside recorded 12 points and shot 4 for 5, including 2 for 3 from beyond the arc.

Terrell Ard Jr. finished with 15 points for the Blue Hose (5-18, 1-9). Presbyterian also got 15 points and two steals from Marquis Barnett. Jalen Forrest also had eight points. The loss was the Blue Hose's ninth straight.
