La Salle defeats St. Bonaventure 71-61
PHILADELPHIA (AP) Tyreek Duren had 21 points to pace four double-figure scorers for La Salle, leading the Explorers past St. Bonaventure 71-61 Saturday in the regular-season finale for both teams.
With the game knotted at 12-all early, Pettis had a layup and knocked down a 3 to help spark an 18-5 La Salle run and the Explorers led the rest of the way. They were up 38-26 at intermission and held on for the win despite being outscored 35-33 in the second half by St. Bonaventure.
Andrew Nicholson had 19 points to lead St. Bonaventure (17-11, 10-6), which had its season-best four-game winning streak snapped.
Both teams will play their next games in the A-10 tournament, which begins on Tuesday.
