Hartford defeats Saint Peter's 67-51
JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) Mark Nwakamma scored 18 points and Hartford had its best shooting game of the season in a 67-51 win over Saint Peter's on Saturday.
The Hawks (8-19) shot 61.9 percent (26 of 42) from the field, including 8 of 9 by Nwakamma. Hartford also made 6 of 14 3-point attempts.
Hartford scored 34 points in the paint and outrebounded the Peacocks 34-17.
Darius Conley scored 20 points and was the only player in double figures for the Peacocks (5-23), who lost for the fifth time in a row. Conley also had nine rebounds.
It was the seventh time in the past nine games Saint Peter's has been held to 55 points or less.
