Charleston Southern edges High Point 70-67

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) Mathiang Muo scored 26 points, including the game's final two foul shots, helping Charleston Southern hold on for a 70-67 win over High Point despite not getting a single basket in the final 5½ minutes on Saturday.

The Buccaneers (15-10, 9-6 Big South Conference) went up 68-55 with 5:17 to play after Muo hit his eighth and final 3-pointer. But that was the last shot to fall from the floor for Charleston Southern, as the Panthers went on a 12-0 run to pull within one on Nick Barbour's 3-pointer with 1 minute left.

But Barbour missed his next 3-point attempt and teammate Shay Shine turned it over after pulling down the rebound. Muo got to the line and sank both with 11 seconds left to seal it for the Buccaneers.

Shine missed a last-second 3-point attempt for High Point.

Barbour led High Point (10-16, 6-10) with 21 points.
