Luis' 23 lead UMass over Richmond 85-76

AMHERST, Mass. (AP) RJ Luis' 23 points helped UMass defeat Richmond 85-76 on Wednesday night.

Luis added seven rebounds and five assists for the Minutemen (12-8, 3-5 Atlantic 10 Conference). Matt Cross scored 16 points and added eight rebounds. Rahsool Diggins was 4 of 6 shooting (4 for 5 from distance) to finish with 12 points, while adding six assists.

Tyler Burton finished with 20 points, 10 rebounds and two steals for the Spiders (11-10, 4-4). Richmond also got 19 points and six assists from Neal Quinn. In addition, Isaiah Bigelow finished with 12 points.

Luis scored 11 points in the first half and UMass went into halftime trailing 37-32. Luis put up 12 second-half points and UMass secured the victory after a second half that featured 11 lead changes and was tied 10 times.
